A consultation can be a stand-alone service, or the beginning of the design and installation process. During our site visits we gather information, take photos and measurements and begin to brainstorm possibilities for your space. Following the site visit, we provide a project proposal and a bid, or a list of recommendations and resources if you only need the consultation service. Get in touch here to schedule a consultation!

Design can be as simple as a rough drawing and a plant list, or as comprehensive as a site map with a detailed planting plan. We design with budget and maintenance in mind, so that your landscape plans are achievable and realistic. Design fees are $100 per hour. We provide an estimate for design work, with a "not-to-exceed" clause determining the maximum price. Additional revisions and necessary site visits will be charged at the same rate.

For those interested in reducing or removing their lawn, we design and install low-maintenance options utilizing native plants in a variety of aesthetic styles, depending on your preferences. 

Pollinator and wildlife gardens can range from wild to formal in appearance, while offering much needed pesticide-free resources to insects, birds, and other wildlife. Some of our clients wish to attract particular animals, while others take a more generalist approach, and we are happy to tailor the plant list accordingly.

Rain gardens are a multi-purpose solution to water issues--they can re-direct problem pooling areas, reduce flooding and pollution, recharge our groundwater supply, and create an ideal environment for water-loving native plants to thrive.

We bring extensive experience to your fruit and vegetable gardens, as former urban gardeners, farmers, edible landscapers, and organic farm inspectors. Our local growing conditions can be quite challenging for organic food production, but we can safely say that we've figured it out, and we would love to share our knowledge with you!
